You can permanently delete your SpeechyTalk account and every piece of data we hold about you and your child at any time. There are two ways to do it — pick whichever is easier.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

In-app deletion — takes about 30 seconds

Open the SpeechyTalk app on your phone or tablet.
Tap Settings (bottom navigation).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account and all associated data are removed immediately.

Option 2 — Email us (if you've uninstalled the app)

Request deletion by email

Send an email to privacy@speechytalk.app.
Include the email address you used to sign up so we can locate your account.
We confirm the request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove all of the following from our servers within 30 days:

Your parent account (email, password hash, sign-in history)
Every child profile (name, age, avatar photo or emoji)
Every flashcard, category, story page, and drawing your child created
Every audio recording your child made
Every scrapbook entry and progress record
Every subscription record we store (billing history stays with Apple / Google per their retention policies — we cannot delete records held by them)
Every diagnostic log tied to your account (Sentry crash reports are anonymised after 30 days regardless)

What is kept, and for how long

A small amount of information is retained for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, and never contains child data:

Deleting the app without deleting your account

Uninstalling SpeechyTalk from your device does not delete your account or the data on our servers. If your goal is to remove your data, use one of the two options above.

Cancelling a subscription is not the same thing

Cancelling your Family or Premium subscription (via Apple Subscriptions or Google Play) stops future billing but leaves your account intact. To also remove your data, follow the steps above after (or before) cancelling.

Children's data

SpeechyTalk is designed for children ages 1–6 under direct parental supervision. Parents may delete their child's data at any time using either of the options above. There is no third-party sharing to reverse, because we do not sell or share child data (see our privacy policy for the full disclosure).
